Three Things To Consider Before You Buy Your Next Pair Of Sneakers
We all wear shoes. We wear them for different types of occasions and for different purposes. Most of us own a decent pair of leather shoes, while nearly all of us have a pair of sneakers kept away at home whenever we intend on going out casually.
Shoes are something that could define a person; one may give off the impression of being a basketball player by wearing a pair of sneakers specifically designed for basketball. Owning a pair of tennis shoes as well would also indicate that the owner definitely has an interest in tennis and that he may quite possibly be a tennis player himself.
There are a lot of things that could describe a person based on the pair of shoes he wears. But before you rush off to start sizing up people, you should first know what are the few things you need to check up on before you get a new pair of shoes to wear.
1. Do they fit your feet right?
Wearing a pair of shoes would mean that you should be wearing shoes that would fit your feet quite well to ensure that you would be able to walk and do various activities with them with ease. A loosely fit pair of shoes could possibly increase the risk of injury by not being able to provide its user with the much needed support. After all a loose pair of shoes often moves a lot with all the space that's left inside. Things like grip, support, traction and comfort all rely on the fit of the shoe to your feet. When you've got yourself a loose pair of shoes, all those things go out the window.
If you're no longer growing and if your foot size has been the same for nearly five years, it's quite safe to assume that you shouldn't be buying a pair that's a whole inch bigger. The next time you buy your pair of shoes, make sure that they fit perfectly.
2. Are they durable enough to be worth your money?
Buying a pair of shoes with a really good design doesn't mean a thing if it easily gets damaged. Wearing a pair of shoes is just like putting on a good pair of tires in your car; put in the wrong tire and you're definitely not going to be winning any races soon. If you're familiar with Formula One racing, you'll notice that racing teams always come ready with dry and rain tires. With your shoes, make sure that the pair you buy is worth every single cent that you've paid for it.
3. Is the price right for your budget?
Buying shoes may be considered as a necessity, but if you go over your budget that could already be considered as an unnecessary purchase. If all you need to buy is a pair of running shoes or cross training shoes, don't overdo it by buying the most expensive pair available. If you're not planning on going professional, then you don't need every single breakthrough in shoe technology.
